Juice Webster is an artist whose music is a kind of summoning — soft echoes of connectedness and courage; lightweight and all-encompassing. One that reminds you of yourself, of a lover’s face close up, of time that is fragmented, but still felt all over.
2023 saw the release of JULIA - Webster’s Australian Music Prize nominated debut album. “Building on these foundations, the songs on ‘JULIA’ feel like both a significant shift and a progression you can chart from way back… [the] songs on ‘JULIA are laser focused" (NME). "[A record] full of well crafted, indie-pop gems” (The Guardian).
The undeniable songwriting presented by Webster saw JULIA collecting critical acclaim from the likes of The Guardian as Best New Music, FBi Radio as Album of the Week, NME’s Song of the Month and a place as Triple J Unearthed's feature artist as well as regular placements in album of the year selections.
JULIA saw Webster playing sold out headline shows, interstate festivals, supports with the likes of Medium Build and The Beths as well as her first international performances in Europe. Where she also performed for La Blogoteque’s much loved Take Away Shows in Paris, France. This was followed by single ‘Hannah’ pushing Juice to the front of the stage, an energy seeing the song added to Triple J high rotation.
Now, Juice Webster returns with a new album ‘Kind of Fantasy, a new era for Webster, a unique and earnest voice that cracks your heart open then picks up the pieces with you.
